As Much Use As A Chocolate Egg!

Unless you live in a cave at the bottom of the ocean, it's hard to miss that this weekend is Easter: Let's be honest it's been advertised since the clocks struck Midnight on 1st January!

We lovers of chocolate at The Lead Generation Group Ltd wanted to celebrate how much there is a feel-good factor involved with getting a chocolate Easter egg, and there have been several stories in the press in recent weeks about the power of the egg, and how a mistake turns out to be beneficial to so many people.

We all make mistakes, it's how we learn and grow strong and go on to bigger and better things, as proven when a shopkeeper in Sandy on the Orkney Islands mistakenly ordered too many boxes of Easter eggs. He accidently ordered eighty cases or eggs instead of just eighty eggs and ended up with more eggs than the entire population of the island!

However, he turned his error into something to benefit so many people by raffling off the surplus eggs to raise money for the RNLI, and because his story went viral the charity is to receive six thousand pounds, with Nestle allegedly doubling that amount.

A foodbank in the South of England also used damaged packets of eggs to donate to every school in their area so every child received Easter eggs: the foil may have been slight imperfect or a box damaged, but the eggs themselves were edible and meant many children who would not ordinarily receive even one Easter egg, had a packet of six.

When you learn to use an honest mistake and turn it into something positive, it shows a presence of mind that you need to run a business. If you have that type of mindset you understand that the mistakes can turn out to be the best solutions to a problem.

Often we forget just how many miles some journeys require to deliver food and essential supplies to our shopkeepers. A trip to the somewhere like the Orkney Isles is not simply a matter of getting from A to B.
