Every Day Women

Now I bet you're wondering why us lot at The Lead Generation Group Ltd didn't make a mention of International Women's Day last week? I'll tell you why – because we know that every day we celebrate the women in our organisation – without one in particular we wouldn't have an organisation – and all those women who are the backbone to so many of our business partners.

Basically we celebrate women on a daily basis; those who choose to stay and work in the home, those who go out and earn a wage and those who take that giant leap of faith and courage and start up their own businesses. So many women, so much to celebrate!

It's hard to imagine a world when we didn't see women in the workplace every day; it's not really that long ago that we got used to seeing women driving our trucks, vans and articulated lorries, our trains, planes and automobiles. We have women on the frontline on active service for their country. In a world that used to be dominated by men, women have, and rightly so, become very much equals and in many cases, surpass the achievements of their male counterparts.

I'm a very lucky chap – I have the lovely and very talented Lisa by my side every day: The LG Group wouldn't be in existence if it wasn't for the drive, determination and vision set out by Lisa. She is the epitome of a modern, successful women and I for one celebrate her every day of my life.

This past week has been all about the women in our lives: International Women's Day and, here in the United Kingdom, Mother's Day last Sunday. Women Rule OK!

However, we shouldn't have to have these so-called "special days" to make us stand back and appreciate the role women play in all our lives. Without them we wouldn't exist anyway!

Every woman is a unique being in her own right and only a woman can produce a life from her womb to keep the human race going. Women endure pain, hardship, abuse, intolerance, negativity and gender inequality in their everyday lives – even in the 21st Century – and that seems very short-sighted and, frankly the kind of thinking that belongs in the Dark Ages, but still it goes on with bad employers, bad husbands and wives, bad children and bad friends and family. Women, however, keep on moving forward and at The LG Group we are very lucky to have these amazing women as part of our business, and they are key to our success.

So don't wait for someone to tell you when to celebrate the wonderful women that you have in your lives. Take a step back every single day and look at the women around you, in your life and in your business, and see them for what they are.

Women are wonderful! They are all Wonder Woman in their own right. Not every one of them rules a country or is CEO of a huge corporation, but whatever she does, your world would be a lot emptier without her.
