Lest We Forget

This is a very poignant time of the year for Fred here at The LG Group. As an ex-serviceman it's a time for reflection and remembrance – as it is for many of us.

Wherever there is conflict there is the transport and logistical support behind every army. A huge body of men and women and vehicles making sure people and supplies get to where they are needed, when they are needed.

Whatever walk of life we are from, we cannot function without our transport and logistical infrastructure. We see it every single day, whether we are on the highways and byways of the UK, or taking a train journey and, indeed, crossing the seas to the continent. Every mode of transport is part of the logistics that keep the world moving and supplied with its goods.

At The Lead Generation Group Ltd we are proud of our longstanding association with our transport and logistics partners. It's something we are pleased to boast about: It's Fred's baby!

Many people, at this time of the year, also remember how it was horsepower that kept the war effort moving, especially in the First World War. All transport has its origins in horses, oxen and other animals that were used for pulling carts, wagons, early vehicles and of course for transporting men and machinery in wars.

Imagine early mans reaction if they could see how their simple methods of transport had become huge, complex machines that can take people and goods all over the world! It's astounding how far transport has reached, including into Outer Space.

We've all seen the sci-fi films where people are transported to other planets to colonise them; it will probably happen in the future when we won't be there to witness it, but every mode and method of transport had to be invented by someone's imagination, so constructing ships that can travel for millions of miles, with hundred of people on board will, no doubt, be a thing of the future because someone's imagination and ingenuity will make it happen.

At the moment The LG Group is not investing in space travel and we have no Martian clients, but we are firmly in the present and working with those companies who are investing in the future. So many companies are now turning to electric vehicles to reduce their carbon footprints. We are in the middle of another transport evolution.

Whatever means of transport that's used, our world depends on it, from a one-man-van operation to the huge shipping corporations that bring us goods from all over the world, remember there are people still making sacrifices for us.

However, let's not forget where it all began. Let's not forget the sacrifices that were made by so many people and animals to make sure the world wasn't overtaken by dictators and mad men, and that those who defended us are never forgotten.
