Mobile Marketing

As I slog up and down our highways and byways, I can't help but notice all the lorries and vans with their signage on the sides, front and backs of their vehicles.

Marketing on the move! The big carriers always have their business name emblazoned on their vehicles because as passing motorists or pedestrians, we can't fail to notice who they are. They ensure that their company and business is a constant in our minds – think the big guns

  • Eddie Stobart
  • TWE
  • Malcolm of Brookfield
  • Cazoo

There are also the most familiar vehicles we see every day: –

  • Police
  • Ambulance
  • Fire Brigade

We don't always associate our emergency services with needing marketing, but because of how recognisable they all are, it demonstrates a very successful marketing strategy.

These are the very tip of the iceberg, but they stand out because of the way they market – out there in in your face!

But then on the other sign of the coin, how many of us have also seen the scruffy white van (other colours are available), complete with the front dash full of used receipts, newspapers, old MaccyD cartons and other detritus too numerous to mention! Then, written on the back of the vehicle is the name of the company, just about visible under the layer of dirt with the obligatory hand-written slogan saying "wash me". What kind of message does this send out to customers or potential customers.

How confident would you be if you wanted to hire, for example, an electrician or gas fitter and one of their vans rolls up outside your house, some scruffy individuals roll out, talking on their mobile phones, smoking a fag and then they are, of course, later than the appointed time. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

At The Lead Generation Group, we pride ourselves on our expertise in sales and marketing within the logistics industry – from the big-time players to anyone thinking of starting their own business-on-the-move, BUT, we also only want to work with businesses who take a pride in what they market because it gives the customer that confidence to move forward with those companies who take a pride in their vehicles.

In other words, we are very much our own brands; people judge us on first impressions – rightly or wrongly, but they say it only takes seven – yes seven – seconds to form an impression of someone or something, and that's about the time we spend looking at vehicles as we pass by on the motorway.

Successful marketeers like a challenge but they also like honesty and integrity. The LG Group are happy to take you under their successful marketing wings, but we will be honest. We want your business to succeed, but only those with that vision and determination, will take on board constructive criticism.

No one like to be criticized, but equally those who are hell-bent on success will suck it up, act accordingly and learn, then they will sit back and, with our help, watch their business become the first name on the logistic customer's lips.
