The Big SEO Myth

When I was a kid I loved stories.

Stories about ogres and monsters, demons and dragons.

I’d spend hours reading old Greek myths and learning about ancient legends.

Now I’m all grown, I still love a good story – but there are some myths I’d rather lay to rest.

Like the myth that SEO is dead.

Time and time again do I hear business owners, or even marketers, say that SEO is a thing of the past.

That it no longer works, and you have to put your money and time into paid advertising (like Facebook Ads or Google Ads) if you want to get traffic to your website.

But they’re wrong.

Yes, SEO has got much harder.

In the good old days, maybe a decade or two back, you could get on the first page of Google just by writing a few paragraphs and stuffing your keywords in multiple times.

That no longer works. There’s now a million times more competition online – but more importantly…

Google’s got smarter.

Google is a business just like any other. And the person searching is their customer.

When they send their customer to you they want to know that you’re going to make them happy. They want to know that you’ll deliver what they’re looking for and take good care of their client.

So the SEO of today is about so much more than keywords. It’s about engagement and behaviour. Content and value.

Keywords still matter. But you’ve got to understand how to use them and have a strategy that works.

SEO is no longer the quick fix it used to be – and most business owners just don’t have the time or knowledge to be able to do it right.

But when you do get it right it can be on the of most powerful marketing pillars in your business.

Paid ads are great. We run lots of campaigns for our customers. But if you want the traffic to keep coming then you’ve got to keep paying.

With a strategic and expertly implemented SEO strategy, the results compound. Strengthening your website’s visibility and bringing more customers to your website, not only now but for many years to come in the future.

So is SEO dead?

Certainly not. But if you want to get the huge results it can offer then you’ve got to do it right – and if you’re not sure how? Well, that’s what we’re here for!
