Time Flies!
Already we are well into February, and unless you live in a remote cave, we all know this is the month of lurrrve!
Hearts, flowers, chocolates, proposals, and probably the odd break-up, but yes, February heralds the annual love fest that is Valentine's Day.
So, what has love got to do with logistics? Let's be honest, the whole marketing side of Valentine's Day is well and truly smashed, so that leaves the A to B to get sorted.
Flowers from Holland, chocolates from Belgium and anywhere in between; thousands of tons of cards, chocolatey treats, roses and perhaps even diamonds for those wonderful engagement rings, have to be transported somehow, and that's where the good ‘ol reliable logistics industry comes into play.
All these love goods (steady on!) have to go from the manufacturer to the suppliers to the customers, and the army of movement experts are the glue that binds them all together, and we at The Lead Generation Group are the ministers who marry the right logistics company to the right business. Sorry, love overload this month!
At the moment there are many business customers who are not happy with some of the big, well-known couriers, and may be tied into contracts that are not delivering on the promises made when the customer signed up, and the result is NOT a match made in heaven.
One thing we know about at The LG Group is how to match a good, reliable logistics company to the right business customer. We are the matchmakers, and we are there to pick up the pieces when couriers and their customers fall out.
When Joe Bloggs is his last-minute.com mission to get his sweetheart a dozen red roses, a soppy card and a box of chocolates, he doesn't care where they have come from, or more importantly, how they got to the corner shop or the supermarket, or the marketplace. Joe just wants to know there will still be a bouquet left in the bucket, chocolates on the shelf and a card that doesn't look like he should be giving it to his granny!
I am always curious when I pass a laden lorry on the motorway where it might have come from, or where it is going. What's even more special is when I pass a name I recognise and know that The LG Group was a part of this firm being on the move for their customers.
As any dating agency owner will tell you, matching clients who want to find lasting love is the biggest thrill of all. It's not about the money; it's about getting the right match, and that's something The Lead Generation logistics experts consistently get right.
So next time you are looking for your perfect business match, don't call Fred Sirieix at The First Dates Hotel, call me, Fred Hughes instead. I can't promise to find you your perfect Valentine's date, but I can promise that your business will be given the best opportunity to make a lasting match with logistics.
